At Lands' End Business, we design clothing with innovative fabrics, finishes and details that improve performance and enhance comfort. Here's a quick glossary of some of these key features and how they make your team look and feel better in our apparel.

5-in-1 Finish

A key feature in our cotton mesh and Peruvian pima polos, as well as our unisex cotton tee and Super-T, the 5-in-1 finish helps the knit fabric resist wrinkles, fading, shrinking, pilling and stains. It provides long-lasting quality and value for your business.

We apply an antimicrobial finish to most of our active polos. The finish inhibits the growth of microorganisms that cause odor, keeping the fabric fresh.

Coolest Comfort

We apply this breakthrough moisture-wicking (see below) nanotechnology to our chinos and perfect shirts. Working at the fiber level, Coolest Comfort balances body temperature while retaining the fabric's natural softness and allowing it to breathe naturally.

Moisture Wicking

Rather than absorb moisture, wicking fabrics and finishes draw perspiration away from the skin. Moisture travels along the fibers and through tiny openings in the weave to the outside of the garment so it can evaporate—eliminating unsightly pools of sweat on active polos and select broadcloth dress shirts.

No Gape®

A Lands' End exclusive in the custom business branded clothing and uniform industry, No Gape® hidden-button technology prevents gaping at the bust—and gives our women's stretch shirts a confident, professional look.

No Iron

Our No Iron shirts save time and ensure a professional appearance straight from the dryer. A finish applied to the entire garment bonds the cotton fibers together so the fabric resists wrinkles and returns to its original smoothness. At Lands' End, we wash-test every No Iron style to ensure the finish will last for up to at least 30 wash cycles.

Stain Resistant / Stain Release

It's easy to get these two mixed up, but there is a significant difference. Stain-resistant garments prevent spills from getting an immediate grip on fibers. Stain-release fabrics make it easier for grime to wash out. Both features help apparel look new longer.

UPF 50

The UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) rating indicates how effectively fabric blocks ultraviolet (UV) radiation. A UPF rating of 50 means that the fabric blocks over 97% of the sun's harmful rays. Of course, even if you wear a UPF 50-rated custom work polo shirt, you should still wear sunscreen if you're heading outdoors.
